Laboratory experiments with "Superglue" have shown that it
weakens considerably in hardness and tenacity after about
a month of application. It may be better than nothing in
terms of stiffening carboard, but I would much prefer
polyester or epoxy resin.  The type of superglue used
for model airlpanes may be an exception to this, but
beware that the standard stuff seen in grocery  and
hardware stores is more likely the former.
