Shouldn't be a problem during grinding unless big chunks are coming
out of the faucet.

But during polishing, Iron contamination (iron oxide to be more
correct) has been a problem with scratching on mirrors. Interesting because
Iron Oxide is chemically not that far from rouge.

The dissolved oxide *shouldn't * have that much effect on the
mirror for most of the time, but it may be possible that if you are using
rouge to polish your mirror, that the dissolved oxide may precipitate out.
This would only be a problem if the precipitate was larger than you want it
to be.

I don't think it would be much of a problem, but to be on the safe
side, I might mix the rouge or CeO with distilled water (cheap insurance) ,
or maybe use a Brita or Pur filter to treat the water you mix it with. The
filter can do double duty, because a lot of iron isn't good for you either.
