If stainless steel is too expensive and aluminum is not only expensive
but also hard to find, can I use a steel pipe? I do not know if the pipe
is made of steel or just iron, but what I mean is the pipe for plumbing.
I have a 6 meter pipe lying in my backyard.
This pipe is more resistance against rust than the material used to make
gate or fence.

IMO the disadvantage of using pipe/tube instead of plate is that the
pipe construction will be heavier. Any other disadvantages?
