>From the information on Dow Corning silicone fluids I have, Dow
Corning 200 fluid has a refractive index of 1.375 to 1.4035, depending
on the viscosity (from 0.65 to 60,000 centistokes).  For fluid types
203, 230, 330, and 510, the refractive index is about 1.4 to 1.46.
For fluids 550, 560, and 710, the refractive indices are 1.50, 1.434,
and 1.533 respectively.  Finally, the refractive index for fluid type 
FS 1265 is about 1.38.
