ATM "off-axis-slider"
Hi,
I was thinking about modifying my guidescope. Instead of using a heavy
duty non flexible piggyback mount for it I think about mounting it fixed
(lighter and more stiff). To find a guidestar I plan to build a kind of
an adapter which allows me to slide the 1,25" eyepiece in the 2" focuser
thus using the whole lightcone of the scope. I think this is how the
"off-axis guiders" work, exept that I use a separate telescope.
Does anybody use this kind of adapter or does anybody know about
problems doing so?
Thank you, ...Achim
