Re: ATM Info on plate glass.... what is it actually ??
Plate glass is ordinary untreated glass (like in your window).
Tempered glass is glass that is heat treated after being
formed. This hardens it. It is usually used in applications
such as the side windows in cars. It also causes the glass
to break into small chunks instead of the long sharp pieces.
Laminated glass is where some material is glued either to the
surface or between two pieces of glass. This holds the glass
together when broken. It is used in your car windshield.
