ATM: Magnesium truss tubes?
Hey all..
I'm considering any and all options to build a 10" airline/backpack
-portable truss tube scope. I've seen many great ideas here on
the list, that I would like to try and incorporate. One of my bigger
concerns is weight. A friend suggested using magnesium tubing. Anyone
know how it compares in weight to aluminum? How sturdy is it? Does it
flex much? Is this a viable alternative to aluminum? Any thoughts here
are welcome. thanx.
