You are right, I should have given more information.

I live in the North-west of Spain (La Coruņa). THe location of the
observatory will be our 2.300 mē plot of land where we will also
construct our house. It is about 20 km away from the city which is
quite small anyway (300.000). At the moment, the only source of light
pollution will be street lights. I already negotiated with the local
administration to put up only shaded low sodium pressure lights. The
land is on top of a hill and thus exposed to medium strong winds.
Security is generally (still :-)) no problem in our part of Spain.
