ATM C102 -> Widefield.
I have a C102 refractor. This is the plain vanilla.
It has a 1.25" focuser.
Lumicon sells an adapter which threads on the draw tube
and accepts 2" eyepieces. I have this also. It works,
more or less, but the unobstructed view is considerably less than
2".
I was wondering what would happen if I replaced the focuser
with a 2" one. (I have a Vega focuser from University Optics
which could be borrowed).
What I was wondering is if it is worth it.
I probably should just try it rather than bringing it to this forum.
I wonder if the field curveture of the 4" objective would render the
resulting images as poor at the edge.
Any comments ?
Thanks.
