Hi:
Craig I've used collodion for cleaning mirrors before and have had no
problem. I used it about 5 yrs ago to clean a sct primary and have had
no problems since. I don't use it anymore as it is hard to get where I
am at and I don't like to store it for any length of time as it can be
dangerous. The only active stuff in it is ether and that should not 
bother al. coatings.
