You can easily make a 'variable fit' threaded Teflon (or other plastic)
block, just tap it as usual & then cut a slot thru the thread on one side.
Now drill & tap 2 holes thru the slot, so that one screw can be used to
tighten the gap & the other to make it wider. Adjust these until the
tester thread has the 'feel' you want.
