If it is still in chunks, freeze it and it will be possible to scrape 
it off. If it is embedded in the material ... well, smaller bits can be 
dissolved by acetone (may be too strong and discolour the clothing, try 
it first). Soaking in petrol will also dissolve pitch. 

Now, any ideas how to remove Rouge stains ?... (apart from concentrated
hydrofluoric or sulphuric acid :-)
