ATM a plea...to edit follow-up postings

This has been said before, but I'll try again.

IMHO, there is no need to quote all [or most] of the previous posting[s]
when following up.  Quoting a few lines here and there will jog the reader's
memory.  I seriously doubt many readers will have missed the original
posting - and there are always the archives.  [I believe they still exist.]
It is important to have thread title continued as a subject heading - or at
least something similar to the original subject thread, for continuity.

Sometimes the quoted text outweighs the new text by 10:1.

Suggestion to Mel:  Attach the URL for the archives to each digest version.
