Horace Dall invented the D-K all by himself. (John?) Gregory (not the
same as the inventor of the Gregorian) got into the act by explaining
what Horace had done in mathematical terms after it had been built.
I know nothing about the Pressmann-Camichel (I believe that's the
correct spelling - it's not Carmichael).
As for the pronunciation of Chretien - it depends upon which side
of the Atlantic you reside.
