what a convert ! Couldn't resist but to comment on your
"attitude shift" towards masking outer zones, spheres and
less than perfect optic. Pushing glass does wonders, doesn't
it (heh-heh).
Anyway, there is an interview with Alika in the lates ATMJ
(Bill Cook's magazine, it took over after TM kicked bucket), 
done by Buchroeder. Very interesting reading. I guess you 
(or at least your club) should subscribe to it, it is the
only magazine dedicated to telescope making (what a plug!).
