ATM 10in. Mirror

I've nearly completed the tube construction for the 10in F/6 scope that i'm
building. Before starting I had a fairly realistic outlook involving my
abilities in general and had decided to purchase a ready made mirror from
one ofthe many suppliers of these. Now feeling confident at the success of
the tube project I'm ready to jump headlong into possible disaster and
consider grinding my own mirror!I've been reading Texereau and Berry and all
the advice regarding size for a first mirror. The question is would it be
absolute maddness to attempt a 10in. F/6 as a first attempt? My alternative
is to make a 6in. F/10 and use this as an interchangable mirror on it's own
cell for planetary/lunar observation in the same tube? Any advice
appreciated! JIM
