Re: [ATM] [atm] how to test flat secondary mirror

Apologies for replying so late to this thread, but I only just spotted it in
my growing backlog of unread ATM messages!

Have a look at my flat-pages at
http://ochra.110mb.com/Home%20Page/Astronomy%20&%20ATM/astronomy__atm.htm

I have to confess that I haven't done much work on finishing my flats in the
last few months - summer got in the way - but I hope to get back to it
shortly.

The biggest problem I ran into was ensuring that the two plates under test
were totally free of dust. The tiniest spec of dust was skewing my fringe
patterns so much that I could never get two readings the same. I haven't
really cracked that problem yet, so if you have any ideas then let me know!

Hope this helps,

	Phil.
