Hi,
I heard around a year ago that the various grades
could be mixed successfully and yield in-between
grades. This was according to the manufacturer -
Sutton Scientifics, Inc. in North Carolina - (910)
428-1600).
The available grades don't go anywhere near soft
enough to be useful to me in figuring, though I use it
in machine polishing where it works quite well. The
option of having them make a custom batch remains
appealing - you need to supply a large sample of pitch
at the hardness you want for them to match.
