You HAVE joined the Southern Oregon Astronomical Society, which has a number
of active ATMs, yes?

Why don't you try A Manual For Amateur Telescope Makers by LeClaire?  Older
books like Howard, Thompson, Texereau are still quite good, though the
latest techniques can be ascertained by a search of the ATM archives.
