[ATM] Questions about string scopes

>From Mel Bartels recent postings we learn that the
latest popular trend in scope design at OSP is string
telescope structures.  

What is the main benifit?  The two that I can think of
are lighter and less parts to transport.  Are there
others?

Can the scope be setup as easily as an all truss
scope?

Does it need collimation after setup because of
different string tensioning at each setup?  Perhaps
that is not an issue since the tensioning can be done
at the upper end while looking though the focuser.
