Re: [ATM] re Various Polishing compounds
Where do you get Cerox?
Also, while we're on this subject, Microgrit rarely (never?)
answers their email or online ordering. I am currently in
the States and was able to call the only number I could
find for them, which is an 800 number. When I called,
the person who answered claimed they are now selling direct.
CeO is quite expensive compared to SiC. I have mainly used
#2 until now, but see Microgrit sells a #5 that they
claim works well for this application, but is less
expensive. Has anyone tried this, or maybe know it
to be problematic, or will I be the first to compare
it to the #2 CeO?
I note that these are characterized for speed, but I
suspect this is not a major consideration for most of
us so much as getting a high quality polish.
