I put a plot of the longitudinal error of the original two
lens solution. At:

I put a plot of the longitudinal error of the three lens
solution. It doubles back twice instead of once. Not too
sure, though, given the performance levels we've seen so
far, that it really matters much in real life.

I've been getting the same kind of numbers (f/2.5 .. f/5.0 and
K=-0.8 .. -1.2). By switching to the Offner form, I've now been
able to get a single solution sheet for the entire range, even
though not all the solutions have two direction changes.
