I think that the effect you are seeing (widening of the shadows around the
periphery of the mirror) is probably due to vignetting.  The camera lens
might not be close enough to the Ronchi screen to capture the full light
cone, especially outside ROC, so the outer zones are under-exposed with
respect to the inner ones.

You might try moving the camera closer to the Ronchi screen (if possible)
to get the same view you see with your eye.
