I believe that Richard S's preferred method of attaching mirror clips is
to place them in the correct position in light contact with the mirror
and cell, then gently apply 500lbs of iron weight to the top of the
clips, at this point they should be TIG welded to the mirror cell. This
absolutely ensures no movement of the clips or mirror no matter what the
orientation of the scope.
None of this should be taken serious least you incurr the wrath of the
cabal.
