One solution is to pair one of my ultra-low profile focusers of just 1" or
25mm with the field de-rotator in front of the focuser so that the entire
focuser rotates. I have been working on a large aperture ( 4" ,100mm) low
profile de-rotator with a 1" (25mm) profile. The de-rotator focuser
combination has a minimum profile of 2" or 50mm. An extension tube for
visual is not needed as focuser travel is 1.5". A clear aperture of 4" with
2" total profile is possible using the 4.25" aperture focuser and 4"
de-rotator.
