Well, I just finished doing the sharpie again and it went awsome!!  I used a 
very short stroke, sprinkled grit edge to center.  within a few strokes I 
saw a nice ring around the middle start to dissapear, then the center and 
edges went all within about 10 strokes of eachother.  I must say that the 
center lasted a little longer than the rest of the mirror did. All in all it 
took about 6 -7 wets to remove all the lines,  I saw the ring start within 
the first wet, the second wet the center started to fade along with the 
outside, by the 3rd wet, all were fading at the same rate.  Now the cool 
thing,  that was mirror A,  I picked up mirror B, using the same tool, and 
got the same results within a stroke or 2 from mirror A.  These 2 seem to be 
identical, duh,, lol, same tool used for the entire processes.  I then used 
the spherometer, and that went just as well,  there was very little jumping 
of the needle, (+ - .0001 movement) no dips, or waffles.  Onto the magnifyer 
and spent an hour looking for pits. :(  I found only a couple between the 2 
mirrors.  So, I have cleaned up everything, scrubbed down the tile tool, and 
ready for the next grit,  360 I believe it is.  but not tonight,  this 
weekend perhaps.    Thank you everybody for your input,  The collective mind 
is a great thing!!
