Try MOT for a bit, with the same strokes.  I'll bet it moves away from
oblate.

Of course since you still have pits, the main thing for now is polish
more, worry less.  But, for a beginner, there is nothing wrong learning
what changing strokes, etc. does while polishing.  Just don't get too
fanatical about it at this stage.  Even if you get a perfect parabola at
this stage, just keep polishing till you get those pits out.  One or two
pits left does no discerable harm, but if you can see any, it is likely
there are a whole bunch more there that will show up all too plainly
after the aluminum goes on.
