Re: [ATM] Dew shield material suggestion request

Hi Bruce

The best material I have found is the plastic ground sheet/mattress that
backpacker campers use to sleep on, [does anyone go camping in Canada?] It
is about a centimetre thick, it is tough, extremely light, good insulator,
waterproof, i.e. although it is feels spongy water will not penetrate into
it, and cheep to buy. Just cut it to size and wrap it round the scope like a
hooter. Perhaps not the most elegant to look at but you only use it at night
when no one can see it.

It is also makes an excellent pad when grinding glass.

          Cheers Malcolm
