In order to produce a mirror blank of 12 - 16" dia. I am tempted to glue 
together thin pieces of glass in order to build up a little thickness. 1/4" glass 
is easy to find - could I use this? How many layers would I need and would it 
be worth it - using, of course, a really top quality epoxy or such.

Also - I keep on reading the "Unusual Telescopes" book.  Unfortunately, as it 
is ~ 10 yrs old, it is getting a little dated.  Anyone hear about the 
possibility of an update?
