The circuitry isn't novel but the whole problem is one of getting the
required accuracy and still be able to move the scope about with some speed
when needed.  Remember that you need to basically track to sub-arcsecond
accuracy plus be able to do arcsecond tracking (the accuracy gets tighter as
the telescope aperture grows in addition!) at several cycles per second to
compensate for seeing conditions plus be able to compensate for the basic
refraction of the atmosphere.  All in all, not a trivial exercise in
electronics or mechanical work.
