Sounds like a solid empirical way to do it, I just had the idea I could CAD
it more before building it, but I do better with the real thing in front of
me anyway, so its build away... <G>

Perfectly!  The mirror box, such as it is, will be a welded rectangle of 1 X
2 rectangular aluminum tubing, with the poles and strings on its top (this
will be a string scope), the rockers on its sides, and a minimal cell either
inset or attached to the bottom.  So the issue is getting a useful sized and
shaped rocker to attach to the mirror box with its attachments as far apart
as possible to increase stability.
