Never ever turn your computer off. because of the differences in thermal
expansion semiconductors are assigned a life of around 500 thermal cycles
before micro cracks develop in the chip causing it to fail. It is in the
spec books from all the semiconductor suppliers. The big problem with
running equipment warm outside it attracts rodents, and they can get into
the smallest places and urinate on the circuit boards - - no joke I had it
happen to me several times. the pc board will clean up with Isopropyl. I buy
glue boards from the local pest control, very effective. The mice were
getting in through half inch hole that cables passed through.
