Yup, that's me.  Unfortunately I am so low on the learning curve on home
networking that I don't know what to call it, or what books to ask for.

The advice I've gotten so far should work...my goal is to connect some
cable, install software, maybe add a box or two...and then hopefully never
have to worry about it again.  If I were to design a big network, make one
from scratch/homemade, write software...then I'd have to dig into books.
