Hello Jerry,

I suggest you consider Spandex or a similar elastic fabric. It's 
available in an assortment of weave densities and black is a 
popular color. Don't stretch it too tight as you will open up the 
weave as you do. Velcro strips are effective in securing it. And, 
it's super light (much lighter than felt) and can be washed

Hi all,
I am replacing the shroud on my 16.5" telescope. I initially used
felt.  I find it doesn't hold its shape. Any suggestions? Clear
