Yes it would. You have to add an amount such that the new shape has the
same CoB as the smaller one.
One way to do that is by expanding the dimensions proportionally. For
example you could shift the sides or vertices out 10% from the CoB and
draw the new limits. Simply scaling the sides by 10% will work too.
In all but a true equilateral triangle this will give different results
than adding the same amount to each edge.
