The mirror on the bottom will open the ROC of the center part and thus get
the edge worked on. The thing here is the longer stroke with a fair bit of
W stroke gets you there. If you're on pads at this point, the ROC won't
change as the pads won't allow for that so you have to dig down all over
with the CeO to get the edge worked.
The problem that often happens with chordal strokes is that they end up
working the edge in such a way that the edge itself rolls off due to the
pressure being only on the exact edge itself. This, needless to say, can't
be tolerated as it's going the wrong way. The sweet spot is usually on the
order of a ring at about 75% of the diameter for the hard TDE to run the
center of the lap at.
