Steve, as to the price, Consider your pocketbook and price it accordingly.
I'd probably go for something like $1200 if I wanted to at least sound fair
and $600 if I thought that I could get it for that. The thing here is that
they have no idea of what they have at all and that means that almost any
price could be negotiated with them feeling good about it.
Since it has already been used to coat mirrors, you have a fair bit of
confidence that you will be able to do so yourself.
