ATM A stability question

Some people, including me, get a feel for scope design from seeing how
similar scopes are built.  It's bad news if the professionally designed
device is not up to par.

I just got the new Orion catalog and was looking at that telescope on
the front.  It looks to me like the rail the ring clamps are mounted on
- which connects to the top of the mount - is much too puny.  What,
maybe 1 1/2" wide at most, maybe 1".

Doesn't that look like it would be susceptible to vibrations?
