Bob, it would really help if you could bring yourself to quote what
you are responding to.
At any rate, the mirror in question (I presume) is f7.3, 8.55".
Interpolating the table on p.85 of Suiter's S. T. A .T.
an artificial star test at the distance of 115' would impart
approximately .125 wavefront of overcorrection in addition
to what is already there. This is certainly instructive enough to
cross reference with foucault readings, such that in the absence of
significant zonal errors, anything
resembling less than faint undercorrection in the star test
would contradict the readings. Conversely, moderate to
strong overcorrection or possible edge-roll in the artificial
star test would support the readings.
