An available off the shelf frequency meter is a 6" machinist rule (found
next to the graphite workstation in the same pocket). Find the resonant
frequency by adjusting the free length of the rule clamped to the mount
until maximum swing of the rule is observed after a good thump of the hand.
Knowing the free length, material, and dimensions of the rule, one can then
determine the resonate frequency.
