Re: ATM What to do with a drill press
1) Take the 1750 RPM motor off, and make a grinder for your shop.
2) Use the pulleys for a gear reduction in an eventual grinding machine.
3) Cut the post up into tuna can sized tools and hog out mirrors.
4) Grind the "flat" tool rest against your driveway until you have all
surfaces shiny
then use your patio and progressively smaller abrasives until verified
flat. Verify
flatness of the table starting with your carpenter's square and a feeler
gauge.
5) use the base of the drill press as a foot rest.
Hey, for $30 bucks, everything after suggestion 1 is gravy.
