I think one of the problems with plastic laminate and Teflon is both are
excellent dielectrics and hold an electrostatic charge. In dry climates like
So Cal, the charged surfaces of Teflon or plastic laminate attract dust. I
would suggest cleaning the plastic surfaces with a mild soap solution and
not rinsing. This will leave a slightly conductive film of soap residue.
Another suggestion would be to coat the plastic surface with a thin layer of
graphite. Don't clean the plastic surfaces with alcohol or acetone.
