ATM CCD linear array

Having tossed the requisite hours down the rabbit hole I'm ready to ask for
help.  I'm looking for linear array CCDs / info on.  I started my web
journey thinking I could use one of these OMRON devices commonly found in
obsolete hand scanners.  Just look up the specs, or better yet a "how to"
article on the web and yada yada, I'd be on to other things.  Now I'll
settle for something new that I won't have to take out a loan to buy.

Anyway, if someone could help, or point me in the correct direction, I will
be most grateful.

A couple of side notes.  First, this really is ATM related.  Second, having
searched archive after archive, it appears that the members of this list,
THE list, are almost the only people who actually post responses to
questions.  I did search the ATM archive, and I'm completely open to
someone pointing out something I missed.
