ATM How to remove wood from mirror

I really do appreciate everyones responce to my query as to how to
remove the bond or joint formed by siliconebetween awood mirror mount
and the mirror. I havedecided thatr I will trythe chemical means first.
For I want to remove the chemical residue of the silicone besides
separating the wood mount from the mirror..
On my new meta;l mount which is a nine point design, I will not be
using asling to hold or support the mirror, but rather at the points of
contact to support, there will be be loose or flexible cups filled of
silicone that will adhere to a clean surface on the back of the mirror.
I need tomremove all old silicone from the back of the mirror in order
to secure thenew points of support
I do apopreciate all ideas from the me,mbers of this group. There is
a vast repositorty of knowledge here. But what is even more remarkable
is that this group as a whole is willing to give this knowledge to all
members or far that matter to all that request help.
I apologize to members of this group but please indulge me. I am
almost 60 years old. By most ,I am looked upon as old. But I was in Viet
Nam when I saw my first Star Trek series. I was not enthralled by the
cheap acting of the series buty rather by the concepts that Mr Gene
Rodenbarry was putting forth. A concept whre the world had learned to
reject the concept of me first but rather that I also belong to a world
or universe that is bigger. That I am responsible to all life not just
to members of my group, my tribe.
I use to feel alone with these feelings. But the enternet and in
particular groups like this have allow me to me meet others of like
mind, that are willing to help strangers to solve their problems. Thank
you one and all
