RE: ATM Adhesion of Flocked Paper
Hi,
I'd like to thank everyone who helped me solve this problem. I discovered
that the adhesive used on flocked paper does not adhere to flat black
painted surfaces. This is especially true if the surface has a bit of
speckle to it. The suggestion to use 3M #77 Super adhesive in a spray worked
VERY well! It adheres so well that you only have once chance to get it on
straight.
In my case I already attached the flocked paper to the inside of my
secondary cage so I peeled back 1/2 of the paper (to maintain previous
alignment), protected the edges with masking tape and sprayed on the 3M
product. I allowed it to become tacky (~3 minutes), attached the paper and
repeated the procedure with the other side. I ended up with a perfectly
aligned and permanently adhered flocked paper.
Thanks again for the help!
Peter
