ATM How to remove wood mirror mount

   I recently recieved a 12" mirror mounted on a wood base (mirror
mount). The mirror was siliconized to this base.
   Question: How does one remove or separate the wood mount from the
mirror and then remove the silicone residue from the mirror. i can find
no info on this
