Why not adapt... realize this is the 21'st Century, and html is here to
stay.  If your email browser doesn't support it, get one that will.
Frankly, text produced with HTML is much clearer, easier to read, and
esthetically pleasing than plain text.  I'll of course go along with the
majority - no point in causing unnecessary offense, but the trend is towards
greater bandwidth accompanied by improved functionality ... graphics,
images, interactivity.
