I also have hand problems.

Here is a picture of a mirror / tool holder which I normally use with a
grinding machine.  The assembly is shown upside down.  The white disc is
made of aluminum, the four constraining blocks are made of wood

The overhanging aluminum disc is very easy to grasp with the hands.  I can
apply far more pressure through it than directly to the mirror alone.  Some
wood variation of this with cutouts or "bicycle handles"  would be very
helpful, IMHO.  A single utensil of this type can be used both the mirror
and a same-sized tool.
