ATM Bed, Bath, and Beyond

I visited the BBB Pasadena store yesterday.   Obviously, I was in the "ladies room".   A salesman asked me what I was looking for, and I replied 8" mirror blanks.   He promptly took me to them.   They are made in Spain of plate glass, and seem to have plenty of bubbles.  

 

I will try to slump them out to 9" diameter and simultaneously form the curve and anneal the glass.   It offends me to have an 8" mirror because that is a standard size.

 

I will be working on a flotation cell for the mirror that takes into account the stiffening from that edge rib.
