Below are a few misc. values

Material           Linear coefficient of thermal expansion

Fused Silica           0.5 eex-6 / C
Invar steel           0.9 eex-6 / C
Pyrex                 3.2 eex-6 / C
BK7                   7.1 eex-6 / C
Borosilicate crown     9  eex-6 / C
Calcium floride       24  eex-6 / C

These values of alpha are at standard temperature and pressure and are per
degree centigrade.  The degree thingy doesn't ASCII well.
